Steward

Hotel Holiday Home is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Stewards to join our hospitality team. The Steward will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Experience with IDS Next hospitality software is preferred as it supports our operational systems and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, equipment, and service ware.

• Support the culinary team with dishwashing, equipment storage, and general kitchen organization.

• Follow all health, hygiene, and safety standards as per hotel policy and regulatory requirements.

• Assist with inventory and stock rotation under supervision.

• Ensure timely setup and clearing of service areas during events or busy meal periods.

• Maintain waste disposal systems and recycling practices.

• Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations.

• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.

• Operate kitchen equipment and software systems responsibly, especially IDS Next, if applicable.

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a Steward or similar role in a hotel or resort is desirable.

• Familiarity with IDS Next hotel management software is highly preferred.

• Basic understanding of hygiene and safety standards in hospitality.

• Physically fit to handle kitchen-related tasks such as lifting and cleaning.

• Team-oriented with a positive attitude and good communication skills.

• Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
