We are looking for a Shift Manager to join our team at UpSouth (Astor Foods LLP). The Shift Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant during their assigned shift, ensuring smooth service, team coordination, guest satisfaction, and adherence to company standards.
The position offers an in-hand salary of ₹15,000 – ₹25,000, along with a friendly and growth-oriented work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise the restaurant team during the assigned shift.
Ensure smooth and efficient restaurant operations throughout the shift.
Allocate duties to team members and monitor their performance.
Ensure excellent guest service and resolve guest queries or complaints professionally.
Monitor order taking, food preparation, and service to ensure timely delivery.
Coordinate effectively with the kitchen and service teams.
Ensure proper cleanliness, hygiene, and housekeeping standards are maintained.
Monitor table setup, clearing, and overall dining area presentation.
Handle POS billing, cash transactions, and basic shift closing procedures.
Monitor stock availability and report shortages or operational requirements to the Restaurant Manager.
Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and operational SOPs.
Conduct shift briefings and communicate important updates to the team.
Support the Restaurant Manager in achieving sales, service, and operational targets.
Handle operational issues during the shift and escalate major concerns to the Restaurant Manager.
Ensure proper opening and closing of the restaurant as per assigned responsibilities.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualification: Below 10th
Experience: 6 months – 1 year in restaurant/hospitality/service operations.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic knowledge of food and beverages.
Customer-friendly and service-oriented attitude.
Ability to lead and coordinate a team.
Basic knowledge of POS billing and cash handling will be an advantage.
Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Willingness to work in rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
Responsible, punctual, and disciplined with a positive attitude.
