Responsibilities
Cleanliness:
- Ensure daily cleaning of kitchen, storage, utensils, cutlery, machinery, and counters.
- Maintain a hygienic environment free from cockroaches, dust, and ashes.
- Coordinate with pest control services and follow up on treatments.
Staff Management:
- Provide comprehensive training to ensure staff can interact with customers in a courteous manner.
- Address and resolve any conflicts or disturbances among staff.
- Effectively manage staff scheduling, especially during leave periods, to minimize disruptions to sales.
- Foster a positive and service-oriented attitude among the staff.
- Monitor staff during duty hours and at accommodation to prevent consumption of intoxicants or smoking.
- Enforce proper attire guidelines, ensuring staff wear fresh clothes daily without blemishes or bad odors.
- Maintain accurate staff attendance records and oversee monthly payroll preparation.
Purchase & Sales:
- Analyze the local taste and implement strategies to increase sales via counter sales as well as online sales
- Oversee inventory management, including purchasing goods and managing cash collection and petty cash.
- Ensure proper documentation of purchase bills and obtain necessary approvals for payments.
- Conduct research on vendors to secure better quality products at competitive prices.
- Implement strategies to minimize loss and misuse of income and equipment to maintain profitability.
Stock records
- Ensure that stock of raw material, semi-finished and finished are recorded daily
- Implement control system to avoid misutilization of stock
Quality Control:
- Uphold high standards of quality and taste across the menu.
- Ensure consistency in taste and quality of dishes.
- Incorporate a practice of offering food to the lordships daily.
- Ensure checking of unsold items on daily basis
Maintenance:
- Regular maintenance of all machineries, stoves, gas bank systems, kitchen hoods, doors windows, lighting, etc..
Miscellaneous:
- Organize daily kirtan and lead one round of chanting the Hare Krishna mantra for all staff at 12 pm.
- Address any complaints regarding taste, quality, or staff behavior with a calm demeanor.
- Brainstorm and implement new ideas to diversify the food offerings and increase sales.
Note – Anything remaining to be implemented or intimated will be informed and discussed after joining. Being a Temple managed restaurant, everything should be checked with Temple manager before implementing any new idea or change of the existing system.
