Job Description – Captain (Food & Beverage / Restaurant)
Position: Captain
Department: Food & Beverage Service
Reports To: Restaurant Manager / F&B Manager
Role Overview:
The Captain is responsible for supervising the service team, ensuring excellent guest service, coordinating with kitchen staff, and maintaining smooth restaurant operations during service hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and guide waiters and stewards during service.
Ensure guests are welcomed, seated, and served in a professional and courteous manner.
Take or confirm guest orders and ensure accurate delivery of food and beverages.
Coordinate with the kitchen and bar to ensure timely service.
Handle guest queries, complaints, and special requests efficiently.
Ensure service standards, hygiene, and cleanliness are maintained.
Train and mentor junior service staff.
Monitor table turnover and ensure smooth flow of operations.
Assist in billing and ensure accuracy before presenting to guests.
Maintain knowledge of the menu, ingredients, and daily specials.

Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management / Hospitality preferred
2–4 years of experience in restaurant or hotel service, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
