Shanky’s — Crew Member Job Role

Job Title: Crew Member / Outlet Crew Executive

Department: Operations

Reports To: Outlet Manager / Founder

Role Objective:

To ensure smooth day-to-day outlet operations by preparing food and beverages according to Shanky’s SOPs, serving customers efficiently, maintaining hygiene, and ensuring every order meets Shanky’s quality and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

Greet customers politely and maintain a friendly attitude.

Explain menu items, offers and memberships.

Take orders accurately.

Handle customer complaints professionally.

Cash & POS

Operate the POS system.

Accept cash, UPI and card payments.

Ensure correct billing and change.

Maintain responsibility for assigned cash.

Food Preparation

Prepare burgers, fries, wraps and other products according to Shanky’s recipes/SOPs.

Follow exact portion sizes.

Maintain consistency in taste, quantity and presentation.

Follow FIFO and proper food-storage practices.

Beverage Station

Prepare cold coffees, shakes, iced beverages, boba and other drinks according to standard recipes.

Maintain beverage equipment and ingredients.

Ensure every beverage is properly presented.

Order Assembly & Dispatch

Check every order before handing it to the customer.

Ensure correct packaging, sauces, napkins and add-ons.

Coordinate dine-in, takeaway and online orders.

Cleanliness & Hygiene

Keep the workstation clean throughout the shift.

Clean equipment, counters and utensils.

Follow personal hygiene and food-safety standards.

Complete opening and closing cleaning duties. �

Stock & Operations

Refill ingredients and packaging when required.

Inform the manager when stock is running low.

Assist with receiving and organizing supplies.

Report damaged equipment, wastage or operational issues immediately.

Teamwork

Support other stations during rush hours.

Follow instructions from the outlet manager.

Maintain discipline and punctuality.

Be capable of working across Cash → Kitchen → Frying → Beverage → Packing depending on operational requirements.

Order accuracy: 100%

Recipe/SOP compliance: 100%

Cleanliness: Maintained throughout the shift

Customer service: Polite and professional

Speed: Fast service without compromising quality

In simple terms: a Shanky’s crew member shouldn't be limited to just one station. The employee should be multi-skilled and capable of running whichever station is assigned during the shift, while maintaining Shanky’s taste, hygiene and service standards. This cross-training approach is common in QSR operations.
