Restaurant Captain

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests and ensure they are seated comfortably

• Manage day-to-day restaurant operations on the floor

• Supervise and guide service staff (stewards, runners, etc.)

• Assign duties and shifts to team members

• Ensure all guests receive prompt and courteous service

• Handle guest complaints and resolve them effectively

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards on the floor

• Coordinate with kitchen and billing counter for smooth service

• Upsell food & beverage items and promote daily specials

• Train new staff and conduct briefings before each shift

• Ensure adherence to Basil’s SOPs and service guidelines

Requirements:

• 2–4 years of experience in a similar role in QSR or casual/fine dining

• Strong communication and team management skills

• Ability to handle guest feedback and resolve conflicts

• Pleasant personality and customer-first attitude

• Flexible with shifts, weekends, and holiday working

• Basic knowledge of POS and restaurant billing systems
