Job Description – Restaurant Captain

Position: Restaurant Captain
Department: Food & Beverage Service
Location: As Assigned
Salary: ₹19,000 – ₹21,000 per month
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and customer-focused Restaurant Captain to supervise daily restaurant operations, lead the service team, and ensure an exceptional dining experience for guests. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership, communication, and guest-handling skills while maintaining high standards of hospitality and service.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate the restaurant service team during shifts.
Welcome guests, assist with seating, and ensure prompt, courteous service.
Take and monitor food and beverage orders to ensure timely delivery.
Handle guest concerns and complaints professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.
Coordinate with the kitchen and cashier for smooth restaurant operations.
Ensure proper table setup, cleanliness, and hygiene standards are maintained.
Train, guide, and motivate stewards and service staff.
Monitor staff grooming, attendance, and service quality.
Ensure compliance with company SOPs and food safety standards.
Assist in billing, settlement, and daily closing procedures.
Promote menu specials and upsell food and beverages to maximize revenue.
Maintain stock of service equipment and report any shortages or damages.

Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality preferred.
Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Restaurant Captain or Senior Steward in a restaurant, hotel, or café.
Knowledge of restaurant operations and service etiquette is essential.
