Restaurant Assistant Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of our bar/restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of experience in hospitality management or a supervisory role, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the General Manager to ensure smooth operations, staff efficiency, and high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily bar and restaurant operations to ensure efficient and smooth service

• Supervise, train, schedule, and motivate front-of-house and bar staff

• Ensure high standards of customer service and promptly address guest concerns or complaints

• Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing feedback and coaching

• Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling costs

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations

• Handle cash management, POS operations, and end-of-shift reports

• Support opening and closing procedures, including security and cleanliness

• Collaborate with management to implement promotions, events, and service improvements.

• Step in for the General Manager when required

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a bar, restaurant, or hospitality environment, including supervisory or management responsibilities

• Strong understanding of bar and restaurant operations, including service flow and staff coordination

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities

• Proficiency with POS systems and basic reporting

• Must be of legal age to work in a licensed establishment

• Responsible alcohol service certification (preferred or required, depending on location).

• It is a Full Time Waiter / Steward job for candidates with 2 - 5 years of experience.
