Job Title: Kitchen Helper

Department: Operations / Kitchen

Reports To: Kitchen Supervisor / Store In-charge

Location: Pallavakkam, Chennai

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Helper to support our kitchen team in daily operations. The role involves assisting in food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth workflow in the kitchen. This position is ideal for someone who is hardworking, reliable, and eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in basic food preparation (cutting vegetables, cleaning ingredients, etc.)

Wash, peel, and chop vegetables and fruits as per requirements

Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas

Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items

Support cooks in assembling and plating dishes during service

Dispose of waste and maintain cleanliness as per hygiene standards

Refill supplies and assist with inventory when needed

Follow all food safety and hygiene standards (FSSAI / company policies)

Perform other duties assigned by the Kitchen Supervisor or Store In-charge

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 10th grade / SSLC or equivalent

Prior experience in a restaurant, café, or food service preferred

Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and food handling

Physically fit to stand for long hours and lift moderate weights

Punctual, reliable, and a good team player

Willingness to learn and follow instructions

Work Environment

Fast-paced kitchen setup

Shift-based work, including weekends and holidays
