The Kitchen Staff is responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food items, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, and ensuring smooth day-to-day kitchen operations. This role supports chefs and cooks in delivering high-quality meals while following safety and sanitation procedures.
Assist chefs and cooks in basic food preparation (washing, chopping, peeling, marinating, etc.).
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area, utensils, and equipment.
Follow hygiene, food safety, and company guidelines at all times.
Stock, organize, and properly store raw materials and ingredients.
Dispose of waste and maintain kitchen cleanliness as per HACCP / FSSAI standards.
Assist in cooking, plating, and garnishing dishes as directed.
Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
Ensure timely support during busy service hours.
Uphold teamwork and coordinate effectively with the kitchen team.
Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation.
Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of hygiene, safety, and food handling standards.
Physical stamina to work long hours and handle kitchen equipment.
Team player with good communication and time management skills.
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Prior experience in kitchens, restaurants, or catering (added advantage).
On-the-job training will be provided.
