Key responsibilities
Food preparation: Assist chefs with washing, cutting, peeling, and prepping ingredients. Help with tasks like measuring and portioning food and setting up cooking equipment.
Cleaning and sanitation: Wash dishes, pots, and utensils; clean and sanitize work surfaces, equipment, and floors; and remove garbage and recycling.
Stocking and organization: Receive and store food deliveries, restock supplies, and help with inventory management.
Kitchen maintenance: Ensure the overall cleanliness of the kitchen and work areas, and dispose of waste properly.
Food safety: Follow all food safety and hygiene standards to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
General support: Perform other duties as assigned by the head chef or kitchen manager, such as clearing tables or assisting with plating and serving.
