The Shift Manager plays a key supervisory role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations during assigned shifts. This position is responsible for overseeing staff performance, maintaining service standards, resolving guest issues, and ensuring all departments function efficiently to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Rotational shifts including weekends and holidays.
Location: Pune – Viman Nagar / DP Road / Airport Road
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Oversight:
Supervise daily operations during assigned shifts across front office, food & beverage, housekeeping, or other departments.
Ensure operational procedures are followed according to company policies and standards.
Monitor inventory, stock levels, and equipment, reporting any shortages or maintenance needs.
Team Supervision & Leadership:
Manage and coordinate shift staff, assign tasks, and ensure proper staffing levels.
Provide training, guidance, and support to team members.
Conduct pre-shift briefings and post-shift reports.
Guest Service:
Serve as the point of contact for guest inquiries, complaints, and requests.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering professional and timely service.
Handle escalations with diplomacy and follow up to ensure resolution.
Health, Safety & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Enforce company policies and security procedures during the shift.
Conduct routine inspections to uphold service and cleanliness standards.
Reporting & Communication:
Prepare end-of-shift reports and communicate key information to incoming shift managers.
Report incidents, maintenance issues, or irregularities to senior management.
Monitor and report on staff performance and guest feedback
Working Conditions:
Must be available to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Standing for extended periods; may involve light lifting or physical activity depending on the department.
