Cafe Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management

• Oversee daily café operations including opening, shift changes, and closing.

• Ensure all food and beverage items are prepared and served as per brand SOPs.

• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards across café and kitchen areas.

• Manage inventory levels and ensure timely ordering of stock and supplies.

• Conduct regular audits for quality, hygiene, and compliance.

2. Sales & Customer Service

• Drive café sales and meet monthly revenue and profitability targets.

• Maintain high customer satisfaction through quick service, product consistency, and complaint resolution.

• Implement local marketing and promotional activities to increase footfall.

• Monitor customer feedback and take corrective actions when required.

3. Team Leadership

• Recruit, train, and supervise café staff (crew members, baristas, shift leaders).

• Prepare staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during all shifts.

• Motivate and lead the team to achieve sales, service, and quality goals.

• Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and trainings.

4. Financial & Cost Control

• Monitor daily sales, cash reconciliation, and banking of revenues.

• Control wastage, pilferage, and operational expenses.

• Track and manage key performance indicators (KPI) like food cost %, labour cost %, etc.

• Prepare weekly and monthly reports for management review.

5. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure adherence to FSSAI, fire safety, and other statutory requirements.

• Maintain records for audits and inspections.

• Enforce company policies, code of conduct, and grooming standards.
