Video Editor

MIDGROW is looking for a skilled Video Editor with strong technical knowledge of video editing and practical experience working in a digital marketing agency.

The ideal candidate should understand how to edit videos specifically for social media, especially short-form and viral content, and should be able to turn a raw concept or footage into engaging, platform-ready videos.

This is not a basic editing role. We are looking for someone who understands editing technically and creatively, including pacing, retention, hooks, sound design, transitions, motion, visual storytelling and platform-specific formats.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit short-form videos, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other social media content.

• Edit videos designed for high engagement and audience retention.

• Study viral and high-performing videos and understand what makes their editing effective.

• Work with content strategists and social media teams to execute creative concepts.

• Handle raw footage and convert it into polished final videos.

• Create strong hooks, pacing and visual transitions suitable for short-form content.

• Add appropriate motion graphics, text animation, sound effects, music and other editing elements.

• Maintain brand consistency across different client projects.

• Understand and follow creative briefs while also contributing your own editing ideas.

• Manage project files, footage, assets and final exports in an organised manner.

• Deliver videos according to deadlines and required specifications.

• Make revisions based on creative direction and client requirements.

Technical Skills Required

Strong practical knowledge of:

• Adobe Premiere Pro / Adobe After Effects

• Short-form video editing

• Video pacing and retention

• Transitions and effects

• Sound design and audio mixing

• Color correction and basic color grading

• Motion graphics and text animation

• Masking and compositing

• Keyframing

• Video formats, codecs and export settings

• 9:16 vertical video production

• Social media video optimization
  

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of professional video editing experience.

• Previous experience working with a digital marketing agency is strongly preferred.

• Experience editing viral/high-performing Reels, Shorts or social media videos is highly preferred.

• Candidates should have a portfolio or work samples demonstrating their editing ability.

Compensation & Work Details

Salary: Up to ₹25,000/month
Experience: 1+ Year
Work Mode: Onsite
Working Hours: 10:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Working Days: Monday – Saturday
