The Video Editor will be responsible for editing and assembling recorded raw material into a finished product that is suitable for broadcasting or digital platforms. The material may include camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and proficient in video editing software.
Responsibilities
• Edit video content for YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, e.g., social media, TV, corporate videos, etc.] to align with project goals and brand standards.
• Collaborate with directors, producers, and other team members to understand project vision and requirements.
• Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film or video content.
• Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects to enhance the final product.
• Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running of the video content.
• Review and refine content based on feedback from stakeholders.
• Maintain an organized library of video assets and project files.
• Stay updated on the latest video editing techniques, software, and industry trends.
• Meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications
• Experience level, e.g., 2+ years of professional video editing experience.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop.
• Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual aesthetics.
• Knowledge of color grading, audio editing, and motion graphics is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills to interpret and execute creative feedback.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with animation or motion graphics software (e.g., Adobe After Effects).
• Familiarity with audio editing tools (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity).
• Understanding of video formats, codecs, and compression techniques.
• Experience working with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop
