A Video Editor is responsible for transforming raw footage into finished, high-quality videos by assembling, editing, and enhancing content for various platforms. They work closely with creative teams, utilizing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve to add graphics, audio, and special effects, typically requiring 1+ years of experience.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Editing & Sequencing: Manipulate raw footage into a cohesive, engaging narrative, ensuring proper, logical, and continuous flow.
Post-Production Enhancements:
Color-correct, color-grade, and add sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects
Collaboration: Work with directors and producers to understand the project's vision and implement feedback.
File Management: Organize, manage, and archive media assets, including raw and final footage, according to company guidelines.
Technical Optimization: Export videos for multiple platforms (web, mobile, broadcast) and formats.

Job Requirements and Skills

Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve.
Experience: Proven experience in video editing or a similar creative role.
