Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and patient F&B Trainer to provide practical and classroom-based training to deaf and hard-of-hearing students. The trainer will teach students the fundamentals of Food & Beverage service, hospitality, hygiene, customer service, and workplace etiquette using accessible communication methods.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct practical and theoretical F&B training sessions for deaf students.
Train students in restaurant service, table setup, order taking, serving, clearing, and guest handling.
Teach food safety, personal hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety.
Provide hands-on training in restaurant and hospitality operations.
Adapt teaching methods according to students' learning and communication needs.
Use Indian Sign Language (ISL) or other suitable communication methods to explain concepts effectively.
Prepare lesson plans, training materials, demonstrations, and practical activities.
Monitor students' progress and provide regular feedback.
Assess students through practical demonstrations and basic written/visual assessments.
Develop students' confidence, discipline, teamwork, and professional behaviour.
Prepare students for internships, placements, and real workplace situations.
Coordinate with placement/training teams regarding student performance and readiness.
Required Skills & Qualifications
2–5 years of experience in F&B operations, hospitality, or F&B training.
Strong knowledge of restaurant and food service operations.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Knowledge of Indian Sign Language (ISL) will be highly preferred.
Experience working with deaf or hard-of-hearing students will be an advantage.
Patient, supportive, and comfortable working with students with different learning needs.
Good practical knowledge of hygiene, food safety, and customer service.
Ability to conduct engaging practical training sessions.
Preferred Qualification
Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or a related field.
F&B training/certification experience will be an advantage.
