Job Description

A Telesales Representative, also known as a telemarketer or telephone sales representative, is responsible for selling products or services over the phone. They use both outbound and inbound calling to engage potential customers, explain product features, and close sales, often working to meet or exceed sales targets. 


Roles and Responsibility:

  • Outbound Calling: Contacting potential or existing customers to offer products or services. 

  • Inbound Handling: Answering calls from customers with inquiries about products or services. 

  • Product Knowledge: Developing a strong understanding of the products or services being sold to effectively communicate their value. 

  • Needs Assessment: Asking questions to understand customer requirements and tailor sales pitches accordingly. 

  • Closing Sales: Persuading customers to purchase products or services. 

  • Upselling and Cross-selling: Identifying opportunities to offer additional or related products to existing customers. 

  • Customer Relationship Management: Building and maintaining relationships with customers to encourage repeat business. 

  • Order Processing: Accurately recording customer information and processing sales orders. 

  • Lead Generation: Identifying potential sales leads for the field sales team. 

  • Database Management: Maintaining and updating customer records. 

  • Sales Reporting: Tracking and reporting on sales activities and results. 

  • Meeting Sales Targets: Consistently achieving or exceeding monthly or yearly sales quotas. 

  • Customer Service: Addressing customer concerns and providing support.
