Telesales Executive

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle and respond to incoming leads from IndiaMART, TradeIndia and other online B2B platforms.

• Regularly check all online platforms and ensure no enquiry or lead is missed.

• Contact leads through phone calls and WhatsApp, understand their exact product and quantity requirements, and provide suitable solutions.

• Prepare and send quotations, product details, specifications, price lists and other required information to customers.

• Follow up systematically with prospective customers until the enquiry is converted, lost, or put on hold.

• Negotiate with customers wherever required and close sales/orders.

• Maintain proper records of leads, quotations, follow-ups, conversions and pending enquiries.

• Regularly update and maintain company profiles on IndiaMART, TradeIndia, Amazon and other online platforms, including:

  • Adding new products

  • Updating product information and specifications

  • Updating prices wherever required

  • Uploading recent and relevant product photographs

  • Removing or correcting outdated/incorrect listings

  • Keeping the company profile active and updated

• Coordinate with the marketing team/agency to ensure new products, photographs, creatives and product information are uploaded across relevant platforms.

• Identify potential customers through online platforms and proactively generate new business enquiries.

• Handle customer enquiries received through WhatsApp, email, website and other digital channels.

• Coordinate with the accounts, dispatch and other internal teams for order processing, payment status, dispatch and delivery-related requirements.

• Maintain and update customer databases and sales records.

• Prepare regular reports on leads received, quotations sent, follow-ups, orders converted and pending enquiries.

• Assist in maintaining the company's product catalogue, price lists and sales-related documents.

• Handle regular in-office sales activities, including customer communication, quotation preparation, order coordination and follow-ups.

• Support the sales team in achieving monthly sales targets.

• Perform other sales and business-development responsibilities assigned by the management.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have:

• Good communication and convincing skills.

• Confidence in speaking with customers over phone and WhatsApp.

• Strong follow-up skills and the ability to convert enquiries into orders.

• Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, email and WhatsApp Business.

• Ability to prepare quotations and maintain sales records.

• Familiarity with IndiaMART, TradeIndia or other B2B portals will be an advantage.

• Ability to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products.

• A target-oriented and result-driven approach.

• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned leads.
