Telecaller

Conduct initial consultations with students and families to assess academic profiles, interests, extracurricular activities, goals, and challenges.

Assist in developing a balanced college list, including reach, match, and safety schools tailored to the student's profile and preferences.

Guide students through all aspects of the application process, including timelines, requirements, and deadlines for undergraduate, graduate, or international programs.

Provide expert feedback on personal statements, supplemental essays, resumes, and activity lists to help clients craft compelling narratives.

Prepare students for interviews, including mock sessions and strategy development.

Advise on standardized testing strategies, recommendation letters, financial aid, scholarships, and waitlist/deferral situations.

Stay current on admissions trends, policies, and changes at various institutions to offer informed, up-to-date recommendations.

Maintain confidential client records, track progress, and provide ongoing support throughout the admissions cycle.

Conduct free or paid initial consultations to attract and convert prospective clients.

Collaborate with high school counselors, educators, or other professionals when appropriate.

QualificationsBachelor's degree required; Master's degree in education, counseling, or a related field preferred.

3+ years of experience in college admissions, either as a former admissions officer, high school counselor, independent consultant, or similar role.

Proven track record of successful client outcomes, particularly with competitive or selective institutions.

Strong knowledge of the U.S. and/or international higher education landscape, including application platforms (e.g., Common App, Coalition).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with expertise in essay editing and storytelling.

Empathetic, patient, and ethical approach, adhering to professional standards (e.g., NACAC or IECA principles).

Ability to work independently, manage multiple clients, and meet deadlines.

Membership in professional organizations such as IECA, HECA, or NACAC is a plus.

Preferred SkillsExperience with specialized admissions (e.g., Ivy League, STEM programs, arts portfolios, athletic recruiting, or transfer/graduate applications).

Multilingual abilities or experience with international students.

Proficiency in CRM tools, Google Workspace, or admissions software.
