A telecaller-cum-assistant for business and home loans is

a dual-role position that combines telephone-based lead generation and client support with crucial administrative and processing tasks. This person is often the first point of contact for potential borrowers and plays a vital role in moving applications forward by collecting information and coordinating with other departments. 

Telecalling responsibilities

• Lead generation: Make outbound calls to a database of potential customers to generate interest in business loans and home loans. This includes cold calling prospects and following up on marketing leads.

• Information dissemination: Explain the features, benefits, eligibility criteria, and required documentation for various home loan and business loan products clearly and persuasively.

• Customer qualification: Assess potential clients' financial needs and pre-qualify them for suitable loan products over the phone.

• Appointment setting: Schedule appointments for the sales or field executive to meet with qualified leads and collect necessary documents.

• Customer support: Handle incoming calls from clients and provide prompt and accurate responses to their queries and concerns throughout the loan application process.

• Market feedback: Gather and relay information on market trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs to management to help refine sales strategies. 

Assistant responsibilities

• Documentation management: Assist the loan processing team by collecting, verifying, and organizing all necessary loan application documents from clients, such as KYC (Know Your Customer) papers, financial statements, and property titles.

• File management: Maintain and update client databases and loan file records in the company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

• Application tracking: Track the status of loan applications and follow up with clients or internal teams to ensure timely processing and resolution of discrepancies.

• Sales coordination: Coordinate with the sales and field executives to ensure a smooth transition of leads and information.

• Reporting: Prepare and submit daily or weekly reports on call activity, lead generation, and application status. 

Essential skills and qualifications

• Communication: Excellent verbal communication and persuasion skills for effective telecalling and customer interaction.

• Finance knowledge: A basic understanding of loan products and financial terms is preferred.

• Computer literacy: Proficiency with basic computer applications and CRM software for data entry and record-keeping.

• Customer service: A patient and professional demeanor to handle customer inquiries and objections effectively.

• Organizational skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain organized records.

• Education: A high school diploma is often the minimum requirement, though a degree in finance or business is a plus.
