Job Description

responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of key retail clients, ensuring their needs are met, and driving revenue growth through strategic account management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management:

    Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key retail clients, acting as the primary point of contact and fostering trust. 

  • Strategic Account Planning:

    Developing and implementing strategic account plans to achieve revenue growth, profitability, and market share objectives within assigned key accounts. 

  • Sales Target Achievement:

    Meeting or exceeding sales targets, including volume, value, and profitability, through effective account management and promotional activities. 

  • Negotiation and Contract Management:

    Negotiating contracts, terms of trade (TOT), and promotional agreements with key accounts to maximize value and ensure mutually beneficial partnerships. 

  • Promotional Planning and Execution:

    Planning and executing promotional campaigns, new product launches, and in-store visibility initiatives to drive sales and brand awareness. 

  • Operational Excellence:

    Ensuring on-time order fulfillment, efficient delivery, and effective management of stock levels to meet customer demand. 

  • Reporting and Analysis:

    Preparing regular reports on account performance, sales trends, and market insights, using data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. 

  • Collaboration and Communication:

    Working closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, supply chain, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction. 

  • Market and Competitor Analysis:

    Staying informed about market trends, competitor activities, and emerging consumer behaviors to identify opportunities and challenges. 

  • Problem Solving and Issue Resolution:

    Addressing customer issues and complaints promptly and effectively to maintain strong relationships and resolve any challenges that arise. 

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong commercial acumen and business negotiation skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key clients.

  • Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.

  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic account plans.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Knowledge of the FMCG industry and modern trade channels.
