A Telesales Executive sells products or services directly to customers over the phone through inbound or outbound calls.
Core Responsibilities
Make and Receive Calls: Contact prospective or existing customers (outbound) and handle incoming purchase inquiries (inbound).
Drive Sales & Upsell: Pitch company offerings, negotiate pricing, and apply upselling or cross-selling techniques to close orders.
Lead Generation: Qualify leads, follow up on marketing campaigns, and pass high-potential prospects to field sales teams when needed.
Manage CRM Records: Update and maintain customer databases, record purchase orders, and log call outcomes accurately.
Handle Customer Service: Address basic product questions, resolve minor complaints, and maintain post-sale relationships.
Meet Targets: Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly call volume and revenue quotas.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
Education: High school diploma, GED, or a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
Experience: Previous background in telesales, customer service, or target-driven sales environments (open to freshers or experienced candidates depending on the grade).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software, telephone systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Soft Skills: Strong verbal communication, active listening, resilience to rejection, negotiation abilities, and problem-solving skills
