The Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating field operations, managing a team of staff or volunteers, and ensuring that project goals and objectives are achieved effectively. The role involves planning, supervision, monitoring, and reporting of program activities, as well as maintaining strong relationships with beneficiaries, stakeholders, and community partners.
1. Team Management & Leadership
Lead, motivate, and support a team of field officers, coordinators, and volunteers.
Assign tasks, set goals, and monitor team performance.
Facilitate regular team meetings and provide capacity-building opportunities.
Ensure adherence to the NGO’s code of conduct and operational policies.
2. Project Implementation
Coordinate and oversee day-to-day implementation of program activities in alignment with project plans.
Ensure timely delivery of program outputs and outcomes.
Identify challenges in field operations and develop solutions in coordination with management.
3. Monitoring & Reporting
Track progress using data collection tools and monitoring systems.
Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
Ensure documentation of success stories, challenges, and lessons learned.
4. Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, local authorities, partner organizations, and donors.
Represent the NGO in local meetings, events, and coordination forums.
Promote the NGO’s mission and objectives within the community.
5. Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
Support budgeting, procurement, and resource allocation for program activities.
Ensure proper utilization and accountability of resources.
Maintain accurate records of expenditures and field logistics.
6. Compliance & Safeguarding
Ensure that all project activities comply with the NGO’s safeguarding, gender, and inclusion policies.
Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful work environment for all team members and beneficiaries.
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Management, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in NGO or community development programs, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong understanding of project management, monitoring, and evaluation.
Experience working with marginalized communities or in humanitarian settings preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Fluency in [English/local language].
Willingness to travel to field locations as required.
