Role Summary
We are seeking an articulate, results-driven, and consultative Senior Admission Counsellor to guide senior working professionals, researchers, industry executives, and distinguished personalities through the admission process for our Ph.D., Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), and Honorary Doctorate programs.
Unlike traditional undergraduate or master’s recruitment, this role requires an academic and executive-level consultative approach. You will evaluate candidate eligibility, understand their career or research objectives, match them with appropriate doctoral frameworks, and drive enrollment targets while maintaining high ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Consultative Counseling & Lead Conversion
Engage with prospective candidates—including senior executives, researchers, educators, and industry leaders—via phone, video calls, email, and in-person meetings.
Conduct thorough profiling to differentiate candidate fit for academic research (Ph.D.) versus practical/executive research (DBA).
Address queries regarding accreditation, research methodology, time commitment, dissertation requirements, and financial investment.
Nurture leads through the conversion funnel to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly enrollment quotas.
2. Honorary Doctorate Nominations & Evaluation
Identify and engage with high-profile individuals, industry veterans, philanthropists, and public figures qualified for Honorary Doctorate recognition.
Assist candidates in compiling profile dossiers, portfolios of achievements, and letters of recommendation for review by the academic senate/award committee.
Maintain strict confidentiality, professionalism, and decorum throughout the nomination and awarding process.
3. Application & Research Portfolio Support
Guide candidates through application requirements, including statement of purpose (SOP), preliminary research proposals, CV evaluations, and credential verification.
Coordinate interviews between candidates and academic mentors, faculty advisors, or research committee members.
Ensure all documentation meets regulatory and university compliance standards prior to formal submission.
4. Relationship & Stakeholder Management
Build long-term relationships with alumni, corporate partners, and academic institutions to generate referrals.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date candidate interaction logs, pipelines, and status reports in the CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho).
Stay informed on global higher education trends, accreditation bodies, and competitive doctoral offerings.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
Education: Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
Experience: 2–4 years in academic counseling, executive education sales, higher education admissions, or high-value consultative sales.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills with an executive presence.
Consultative Selling: Proven track record of closing high-ticket academic or professional programs (e.g., Executive MBAs, DBAs, Ph.Ds).
Research Literacy: Basic understanding of academic research structures, dissertation processes, and the difference between scholarly and professional doctorates.

Prior experience handling international admissions or dual-degree programs.
Familiarity with university accreditation systems.
Experience interacting with C-suite executives, directors, or public figures.
