Job Description

We are looking for a Welder with 6G certification to join our team at Gentech Engineering Services.

Key Responsibilities

Welding Expertise: Perform specialized 6G position welding (pipe at a 45-degree angle) on various pipe sizes and materials.
Techniques: Utilize TIG (GTAW), Stick (SMAW), and Flux-cored (FCAW) welding processes.
Preparation & Quality: Perform joint preparation, pipe fit-up, root pass, and finishing, ensuring welds pass X-ray or destructive tests.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read, interpret, and follow technical drawings, welding procedures (WPS), and project specifications.
Safety & Maintenance: Follow HSE regulations, maintain a clean workstation, and keep welding equipment in proper working order.

Candidate Requirements

Certification: Mandatory 6G welding certification (often for SMAW/GTAW).
Experience: Typically 1–5+ years of experience in structural fabrication, oil and gas, or pressure vessel fabrication.
Skills: High proficiency in pipe welding (stainless steel/carbon steel), manual dexterity, and spatial awareness.
Education: ITI or technical school training in welding is often preferred.
