Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented iPhone Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Apple iPhones and related devices. As an iPhone Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, replacing defective parts, and ensuring high-quality repairs. The role also requires excellent customer service skills to interact with clients effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and Repair:

  • Identify hardware and software problems in iPhones, including issues related to screens, batteries, cameras, charging ports, and more.

  • Perform repairs on iPhone devices, such as replacing cracked screens, faulty batteries, and damaged charging ports.

  • Repair or replace components including logic boards, LCD screens, speakers, cameras, etc.

• Software Troubleshooting:

  • Assist customers with software issues, including iOS updates, app crashes, and system errors.

  • Conduct troubleshooting and restore devices to factory settings when necessary.

• Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all repairs meet Apple’s quality standards and guidelines.

  • Perform comprehensive testing on repaired devices to verify functionality and quality before returning to customers.

• Customer Service:

  • Communicate with customers to explain repair processes, timelines, and costs.

  • Provide advice on device care, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and effectively.

• Inventory Management:

  • Keep track of repair parts inventory and ensure that parts are stocked appropriately.

  • Maintain accurate repair logs for devices worked on.

• Safety & Compliance:

  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures when handling electronics, especially when dealing with batteries or other potentially hazardous components.

  • Stay up-to-date on Apple’s repair guidelines and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Certification in mobile device repair or electronics preferred (e.g., Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT)).

• Experience:

  • Proven experience as a mobile phone technician or similar role, preferably with a focus on iPhones.

  • Familiarity with iPhone hardware and software components.

  • Previous experience working with Apple products is a plus.

• Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent manual dexterity and technical aptitude.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

  • Knowledge of iOS system software and troubleshooting.

• Certifications:

  • Apple Certified Technician (ACMT) is highly desirable but not required.

  • Other relevant technical certifications are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to handle and repair devices, which may involve lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds.

• Comfortable working with small parts and delicate components.

• Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
