Technician

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Technician to join our O&M team. The candidate will be responsible for the inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance of rooftop solar PV systems. The role requires regular site visits, technical problem-solving, and ensuring maximum system performance and uptime while adhering to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of rooftop solar PV plants.

• Conduct routine inspections of solar modules, inverters, ACDB, DCDB, cables, earthing systems, and other electrical components.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in solar PV systems and carry out necessary repairs.

• Monitor plant performance and identify underperforming systems.

• Clean and maintain solar panels as per the maintenance schedule (where applicable).

• Test electrical parameters using appropriate instruments such as multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, and thermal cameras.

• Ensure timely resolution of breakdowns and emergency maintenance activities.

• Maintain service reports, maintenance logs, and site documentation.

• Coordinate with customers regarding maintenance schedules, issue resolution, and service updates.

• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company HSE policies.

• Assist in inverter firmware updates, data logger configuration, and remote monitoring activities.

• Report recurring technical issues and recommend preventive actions to improve plant performance.

• Support commissioning and warranty replacement activities when required.
