Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Solar Technician to support the installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of solar PV systems. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that solar plants and associated electrical equipment operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of solar PV systems.

• Perform electrical and mechanical work related to solar panels, inverters, junction boxes, cables, structures, and other equipment.

• Conduct regular inspection and preventive maintenance of solar plants.

• Identify and troubleshoot faults in solar panels, inverters, DC/AC systems, cables, and electrical equipment.

• Monitor plant performance and report technical issues to the supervisor/engineer.

• Carry out testing of electrical connections, voltage, current, insulation, and continuity.

• Ensure proper cable dressing, termination, earthing, and equipment connections.

• Assist in inverter installation, configuration, fault identification, and replacement.

• Maintain records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, inspections, and spare parts used.

• Follow all company safety procedures and ensure proper use of PPE at site.

• Coordinate with Site Engineers, O&M teams, vendors, and subcontractors as required.

• Travel to project sites across India as per business requirements.

• Ensure work is completed within the required timelines and quality standards.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of Solar PV systems and electrical equipment.

• Basic understanding of DC and AC electrical systems.

• Knowledge of solar panels, inverters, SCB/SMB, DBs, LT panels, cables, and earthing systems.

• Ability to use basic electrical tools and testing equipment such as multimeter and clamp meter.

• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to read basic electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.

• Knowledge of electrical safety practices and PPE.

• Physically fit and comfortable working at project sites and outdoor locations.

Qualification

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or a related technical trade.

• Candidates with relevant solar installation/O&M experience will be preferred.

Experience

1+ years of relevant experience in solar installation, commissioning, electrical maintenance, or solar O&M.

Preferred Candidate

• Experience in rooftop, commercial, industrial, or utility-scale solar projects.

• Willingness to travel and work at different project locations across India.

• Candidates with hands-on experience in solar troubleshooting and maintenance will be preferred.
