Technician

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented CCTV Technician to install, maintain, and repair closed-circuit television systems and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with surveillance system installation, wiring, configuration, and troubleshooting in residential, commercial, or industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and test CCTV systems, including cameras, monitors, recorders (DVR/NVR), and network components.

• Run cables and connect power supplies and data networks for security system components.

• Perform regular maintenance and service checks to ensure systems are functioning correctly.

• Diagnose and repair faults in CCTV systems, ensuring minimal downtime.

• Program and configure remote viewing software on mobile or desktop platforms.

• Work from schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure proper system design and installation.

• Maintain records of installation, maintenance, and service calls.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company protocols.

• Coordinate with clients, engineers, and security managers for system design and project planning.

• Train clients or users on system operation when required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven experience as a CCTV Technician or in a similar technical role.

• Strong knowledge of CCTV systems, wiring, IP cameras, DVR/NVR systems, and networking basics.

• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

• Understanding of electrical and safety codes.

• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with IP configuration and mobile apps for remote viewing.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical, or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience in CCTV installation and maintenance.

• Valid driver’s license (if fieldwork is required).

• Industry certifications (e.g., Hikvision, Dahua, CP Plus, or equivalent) are a plus.
