Position: Engineer / Junior Engineer – ELV & Perimeter Security Systems

Department: Projects / Technical Services / Operations

Location: Site-Based (Pan-India)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Role Summary

The Engineer / Junior Engineer will be responsible for installation, commissioning, integration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of ELV Systems and Perimeter Security Systems including CCTV, Access Control, Biometric, EPABX, Boom Barriers, Blocking Bollards, Tyre Killers, and Gate Automation Systems.

The role involves coordination with clients, consultants, civil & electrical teams to ensure smooth project execution as per technical specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. ELV Systems (Extra Low Voltage)

Installation & Commissioning

Installation of IP & Analog CCTV Cameras (Dome, Bullet, PTZ)

NVR/DVR configuration & remote viewing setup

Access Control Systems (RFID, Card-based, Face recognition)

Biometric Attendance Systems

EPABX / Intercom Systems

Video Door Phone & PA Systems

Structured cabling (Cat6, OFC, coaxial)

Configuration & Networking

IP addressing & network configuration

Switch, Router & basic VLAN setup

Port forwarding & remote access configuration

Integration with centralized monitoring systems

Troubleshooting & Maintenance

Diagnose camera, network, and storage issues

Maintain AMC and preventive maintenance schedules

Replace faulty components and maintain system uptime

2. Perimeter Security & Gate Automation Systems

Installation & Commissioning

Automatic / Semi-automatic Boom Barriers

Hydraulic & Electro-mechanical Blocking Bollards

Tyre Killers / Road Blockers

Sliding / Swing / Cantilever Gates

Turnstiles & Gate Automation

Electrical & Control Systems

Control panel wiring (230V / 415V / 24V systems)

Motor, actuator, sensor & limit switch installation

PLC / relay logic-based system understanding

Integration with Access Control & RFID systems

Testing & Handover

System testing & safety checks

Trial runs and demonstration to clients

Preparation of commissioning & handover documents

3. Documentation & Site Coordination

Site survey & BOQ verification

Daily Progress Reports (DPR)

As-built drawings & O&M manuals

Coordination with client, consultant & subcontractors

Compliance with tender specifications & safety norms

Qualifications

Junior Engineer:

Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / IT / Mechanical

0–2 years of relevant experience

Engineer:

B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Instrumentation

2–5 years of experience in ELV & Security Systems

Technical Skills Required

CCTV systems (e.g., Hikvision, Dahua Technology, CP Plus)

EPABX systems (e.g., Matrix Comsec, Panasonic)

Access Control & Biometric Integration

Boom Barriers, Bollards & Tyre Killers

Electrical panel wiring & troubleshooting

Basic PLC & automation knowledge (preferred)

Networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN/IP)

Reading electrical schematics & layout drawings

Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving ability

Good communication & reporting skills

Willingness to travel and work on project sites

Ability to handle client discussions

Team coordination skills

Preferred Experience

Government / PSU / Defense / Industrial projects

High-security installations

Knowledge of CPWD / State PWD / MHA norms
