Technician Helper

An Industrial Maintenance Technician inspects, maintains, and repairs industrial machinery and equipment in manufacturing plants, ensuring smooth and safe operation through preventive measures and prompt troubleshooting of breakdowns. Key duties include performing routine checks, calibrating machinery, diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, and adhering to strict safety protocols and documentation standards. Essential skills for this role involve strong technical and mechanical proficiency, analytical problem-solving abilities, and expertise in reading technical manuals and schematics. 

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance:

  Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting machinery to ensure optimal performance. 

• Repair:

  Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in equipment and components. 

• Installation:

  Install new industrial machinery, equipment, and sensors. 

• Inspections:

  Conduct routine and in-depth inspections of machinery to identify potential problems and ensure functionality. 

• Troubleshooting:

  Use diagnostic equipment, technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to identify and resolve malfunctions. 

• Safety:

  Adhere to all safety policies, regulations, and industry standards to maintain a safe and orderly work environment. 

• Record Keeping:

  Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs. 

• Reporting:

  Prepare and present detailed reports on performed work and maintenance activities. 

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Technical Expertise:

  Proficient with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as control software. 

• Diagnostic Tools:

  Skilled in using diagnostic equipment, measuring instruments, and other specialized tools for maintenance and testing. 

• Problem-Solving:

  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively diagnose and repair equipment. 

• Mechanical Aptitude:

  Excellent technical and mechanical skills for handling machinery and fabricating parts. 

• Reading Schematics:

  Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, blueprints, and work orders. 

• Safety Awareness:

  Familiarity with safety regulations (e.g., OSHA standards) and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). 

• Communication:

  Good communication skills to interact with production teams and other staff. 

• Organizational Skills:

  Strong time management and organizational skills.
