Technical Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

· Supervise and monitor the execution of Solar Rooftop / Solar PV Installation Projects.

· Coordinate with the Company's Service Team and Technical Team for day-to-day project execution and technical activities.

· Identify, arrange, develop, and onboard new installation vendors / contractors as per project requirements.

· Search for and establish a reliable vendor network in new project locations to ensure timely execution of projects.

· Supervise and coordinate with installation vendors / contractors engaged by the Company.

· Monitor vendor manpower, work quality, productivity, and project progress.

· Ensure that solar panel installation, structure installation, electrical work, inverter installation, cabling, earthing, testing, and commissioning are carried out as per technical requirements.

· Conduct regular site visits and inspect project execution and installation quality.

· Coordinate between vendors, Service Team, Technical Team, customers, and other project stakeholders.

· Identify technical or execution-related issues and ensure timely resolution.

· Monitor project schedules, installation timelines, and completion targets.

· Ensure proper adherence to safety standards, quality standards, and Company procedures at project sites.

· Verify that installation work is completed as per approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

· Review and monitor site reports, installation reports, service reports, and other project-related documentation.

· Ensure timely completion of pending installation, rectification, and service-related activities.

· Coordinate for material requirements and ensure proper utilization of project materials at site.

· Support management in improving project execution efficiency and reducing delays and rework.

· Train, guide, and supervise Service and Technical Team members wherever required.

· Evaluate vendor capability, manpower strength, technical expertise, work quality, and execution capacity before assigning projects.

· Maintain and develop a database/network of reliable installation vendors for different project locations.

· Escalate major technical, vendor, manpower, material, or project-related issues to management.

· Maintain regular communication with the Head Office / Management regarding project status and execution progress.

Required Skills & Competencies

· Strong knowledge of Solar PV / Rooftop Solar Installation and Electrical Projects.

· Good understanding of electrical systems, solar panels, inverters, structures, cabling, earthing, and commissioning.

· Strong vendor identification, development, onboarding, and management skills.

· Good knowledge of contractor and manpower coordination.

· Good leadership and team supervision capabilities.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.

· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

· Good communication and coordination skills.

· Ability to conduct site inspections and identify technical/execution issues.

· Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

· Experience in handling Service, Technical, Installation, and Project Execution Teams will be preferred.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with 15–20 years of relevant experience in Solar, Electrical, Renewable Energy, EPC, Project Execution, Installation, or related industries will be preferred.

Candidates with proven experience in vendor development, new vendor arrangement, contractor management, and multi-location solar project execution will be given preference.
