Position: CCTV / Surveillance Engineer
Department: Technical / Security Systems
Reporting to: Project Manager / Technical Head / Admin Head
Location: On-site / Field Work
Install, configure, and maintain CCTV cameras, NVR/DVR systems, and surveillance equipment.
Troubleshoot issues related to camera connectivity, recording, power supply, and network.
Perform IP camera configuration, static IP assignment, port forwarding, and remote viewing setup.
Lay and terminate network cables (CAT6), power cables, and ensure proper routing.
Ensure proper mounting, alignment, and focusing of cameras for clear visibility.
Maintain and service existing CCTV setups, including cleaning and preventive maintenance.
Check and ensure NVR storage health, recording backup, and retrieval of footage when required.
Handle installation of related devices such as POE switches, SMPS, routers, video door phones, access control.
Conduct site surveys and prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantity) for new installations.
Provide support for movement, relocation, and expansion of CCTV points.
Maintain documentation of camera locations, network diagrams, and maintenance logs.
Coordinate with vendors for product replacement, AMC support, and warranty claims.
Strong troubleshooting skills for analog and IP CCTV systems.
Good understanding of networking basics – LAN, IP addressing, cabling, switches.
Knowledge of brands like Hikvision, CP Plus, Dahua, Honeywell, etc.
Ability to climb heights, handle tools, and perform fieldwork.
Good problem-solving ability and client-handling skills.
ITI / Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
1–5 years of experience in CCTV installation and support.
Certifications in CCTV/security systems are an added advantage.
Willingness to travel for field installations and AMC visits.
Follow all safety guidelines during installation.
Maintain neat and accurate technical documentation.
Provide after-hours support during urgent issues (if required).
