Solar Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation:

Install solar panels, inverters, and mounting systems on rooftops or ground-mounted locations. 

• Electrical Work:

Perform electrical wiring, conduit work, and ensure safe, proper connections to the grid or battery systems. 

• Site Assessment:

Conduct site surveys to determine optimal system placement and layout requirements. 

• Maintenance & Repair:

Perform routine maintenance, inspect systems, identify faults, and troubleshoot issues to ensure uninterrupted power output. 

• Commissioning:

Test and inspect installed solar systems to ensure efficiency and safety. 

• Documentation:

Maintain records of installation and repair activities and report on system performance. 

• Safety:

Adhere to all safety standards and industry best practices during installation and maintenance. 

• Customer Interaction:

Educate customers on system operation, maintenance, and provide excellent customer service. 

Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of PV systems, electrical components, and installation processes. 

• Electrical Skills: Proficiency in electrical wiring and connecting components safely. 

• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues. 

• Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to following safety protocols. 

• Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and clients.

• Working on residential and commercial rooftops or ground-mounted solar arrays.

• Physical work involving installation, wiring, and climbing.
