Solar Technician

Role: Installs, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains solar energy systems to ensure their safety, efficiency, and compliance with codes.

Key Duties:

Install, test, and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) and/or solar thermal systems.​

Diagnose and repair issues in solar equipment or system wiring.​

Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to maximize efficiency.​

Complete electrical work including wiring, grounding, and system integration with grids.​

Keep detailed records of installation, repairs, and inspections.​

Support system or site design and advise on system optimization as needed.​

Educate clients on safe operation and maintenance.​

Requirements:

Technical training in solar energy, electrical, or related field preferred.​

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.​

Ability to read blueprints/schematics and work independently or in teams.​

Safety certification and compliance awareness.​

Physical ability to work outdoors and at heights.
