Job Description : Service Technician
We are looking for a hands-on and technically skilled EV Service Technician to perform regular maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs on electric vehicles (EVs). The ideal candidate should be familiar with EV components like batteries, motors, controllers and ensure customer satisfaction through prompt and reliable service.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical & Maintenance Work:
Perform routine service and preventive maintenance of electric vehicles (2W/3W/4W).
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in batteries, motors, wiring harnesses, and control systems.
Repair or replace faulty electrical and mechanical components.
Test vehicle functions post-repair to ensure full operability.
Reporting & Documentation:
update job cards.
Report recurring faults or issues to service head for further escalation.
Ensure proper documentation of tools, spare parts usage, and service feedback.
Safety & Quality:
Follow all safety protocols while handling high-voltage systems and battery packs.
Use safe tools during repairs.
Ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy after every service.
Customer Interaction:
Provide basic usage and safety instructions to vehicle users if needed.
Explain faults, repairs done, and preventive measures clearly to customers.
Support in field breakdowns and roadside assistance, when required.
Tools & Inventory Management:
Maintain tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices in good condition.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience in Electrical, Automobile, or related trades.
1–3 years of hands-on experience in EV or automotive servicing (freshers with training welcome).
Understanding of EV components – battery, BLDC motors, controllers, wiring harness, etc.
Willingness to travel or support field service operations.
