Service engineer

Qualification:

• ITI or Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Fitter

Experience:

• 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in DG set servicing, repair, and installation

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance of DG (Diesel Generator) sets

• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in DG systems and related components

• Repair and replace faulty mechanical and electrical parts

• Install DG sets at customer sites, ensuring proper alignment, wiring, and setup

• Conduct testing and commissioning of installed generators

• Maintain service reports, work logs, and customer feedback records

• Respond promptly to customer service calls and breakdowns

• Provide technical support and guidance to customers on DG operation and upkeep

• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards during all service activities

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of DG operations and components

• Expertise in fault diagnosis and troubleshooting (electrical and mechanical)

• Familiarity with tools and equipment used in DG servicing

• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings

• Good communication and customer-handling skills

• Willingness to travel to customer sites and work in field conditions
