Job Title: Service Engineer
Role Overview
The Service Engineer is responsible for the full lifecycle of onsite technical support—from the initial setup of electronic instruments to long-term maintenance. You will serve as the primary technical point of contact for our clients, ensuring that industrial systems are installed correctly, performing optimally, and repaired swiftly to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Commissioning: Lead the end-to-end setup of electronic instruments. This includes hardware mounting, wiring, and initial software configuration to ensure the system meets client specifications.
Erection & Integration: Oversee the physical assembly and integration of equipment into existing industrial frameworks, ensuring compliance with safety standards and technical blueprints.
Preventive Maintenance (AMC): Execute scheduled visits under Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) to perform routine health checks, calibrations, and firmware updates to prevent system failures.
Breakdown Service & Troubleshooting: Respond to emergency service calls. Diagnose root causes of electronic failures at the component level and perform onsite repairs or board replacements.
Technical Support & Training: Provide onsite training to customer operators on basic equipment handling and minor troubleshooting.
Reporting: Document all service activities, including installation reports, service entry sheets, and expense claims, ensuring clear communication between the field and the home office.
Required Skills & Qualifications
CategoryRequirementEducation: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electronics, Instrumentation, or Electrical Engineering.
Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in reading circuit diagrams, and understanding PLC/PID controllers.
Experience : 0-2 years in onsite service for industrial automation or electronic instrumentation.
Soft Skills : Strong problem-solving abilities, customer relationship management, and clear communication.
