Job Brief

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Automotive Service Advisor to join our team.

The Automotive Service Advisor is responsible for meeting with customers, listening to their concerns, and advising on the necessary repairs or services.

This role requires strong customer service skills, as well as an extensive knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.

The ideal candidate will be able to explain complex technical issues in a way that customers can easily understand.

Responsibilities

Automotive Service Advisor Duties and Responsibilities

Automotive Service Advisors are key liaisons between customers and auto technicians, ensuring customers understand the work being done on their vehicles and the associated costs.

They play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction and loyalty by providing exceptional service and accurate information.

Their duties and responsibilities include:

·        Greet and consult with customers about their vehicle concerns

·        Assess the vehicle’s condition and advise on necessary services or repairs

·        Prepare detailed repair orders with descriptions of problems, repairs needed, and associated costs

·        Coordinate with auto technicians to ensure repairs are done accurately and in a timely manner

·        Explain technical automotive information to clients in understandable terms

·        Follow up with customers to gauge satisfaction with services and to foster customer loyalty

·        Handle customer complaints professionally, resolving issues where possible

·        Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and best practices

·        Assist with billing procedures and process payments

Qualifications

·        Proven work experience as an Automotive Service Advisor

·        Strong customer service skills

·        Extensive knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·        Ability to explain complex technical issues in a simple manner

·        High school diploma or GED required; automotive certification or degree preferred
