Job Purpose
The Leadman is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day workshop operations, leading the technical team, ensuring timely and quality vehicle service, maintaining workshop discipline, and achieving operational, revenue, and customer satisfaction targets.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
Supervise daily workshop operations and ensure smooth workflow.
Allocate repair and service jobs to technicians based on skill and workload.
Monitor job progress and ensure vehicles are delivered within the committed turnaround time.
Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality standards.
Coordinate with the Service Advisor and Parts Department for seamless service execution.
Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and motivate technicians and Technical Partners.
Conduct daily toolbox meetings and communicate operational priorities.
Monitor employee attendance, productivity, discipline, and performance.
Identify training needs and support the development of team members.
Quality & Customer Satisfaction
Ensure repairs are completed right the first time to minimize repeat jobs.
Conduct final quality inspections before vehicle delivery.
Support the resolution of customer complaints and technical issues.
Maintain high customer satisfaction through quality workmanship and timely service.
Workshop Administration
Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment.
Maintain workshop cleanliness, housekeeping, and safety standards.
Monitor the availability and usage of spare parts and consumables.
Report equipment breakdowns and operational issues to the Area Manager.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure adherence to all safety guidelines and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Comply with company policies, statutory regulations, and environmental standards.
Promote a safe and disciplined work environment.
Reporting
Prepare and submit daily workshop performance reports.
Track pending jobs, productivity, manpower utilization, and workshop efficiency.
Escalate operational challenges and recommend corrective actions.

Qualification
ITI / Diploma in Automobile, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
4–6 years of experience in automobile service operations.
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or Leadman role.
Experience in a multi-brand car service workshop is preferred.
