Senior Technician

Job Summary

The Senior Technician is responsible for ensuring smooth operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all technical systems within the cinema, including projection, sound, and related equipment. This role involves supervising junior technicians, maintaining high technical standards, and ensuring an uninterrupted and superior movie-going experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain digital projection, sound systems, servers, and related cinema equipment

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime

• Diagnose and resolve technical faults promptly during shows

• Supervise and guide junior technicians and technicians-in-training

• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for repairs and upgrades

• Ensure compliance with PVR technical standards, safety norms, and SOPs

• Maintain accurate logs for equipment performance, maintenance, and incidents

• Support new installations, system upgrades, and technology rollouts

• Assist cinema management during technical emergencies or special screenings

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma / ITI / Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or a related technical field

• 3+ years of experience

• Strong knowledge of digital projection systems, sound processors, amplifiers, and servers

• Ability to troubleshoot under pressure and during live operations

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with digital cinema software

• Good communication and team leadership skills

• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays

• It is a Full Time Technician job for candidates with 2 - 5 years of experience.
