Job Summary
The Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and Debug Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and associated power electronics assemblies. The role requires expertise in power electronics, UPS systems, PCB-level troubleshooting, and customer support to ensure reliable operation of UPS products meeting quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in UPS systems, power modules, control boards, chargers, inverters, and related assemblies.
· Perform component-level repair and replacement on PCBs, including SMT and through-hole components.
· Conduct functional, electrical, and load testing of repaired UPS units.
· Analyze failures and identify root causes using schematic diagrams, test equipment, and troubleshooting methodologies.
· Use diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power analyzers, and electronic loads.
· Document repair activities, failure analysis reports, corrective actions, and test results.
· Ensure compliance with safety procedures, ESD requirements, and quality standards.
· Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to improve product reliability.
· Maintain repair records, spare parts inventory, and calibration status of test equipment.
· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing repair turnaround time and repeat failures.
Required Qualifications
· Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field.
· 2-3 years of experience in repair and troubleshooting of UPS systems, power supplies, inverters, or power electronics equipment.
· Strong knowledge of AC/DC power conversion, inverter topologies, , and power electronics components.
· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and technical documentation.
· Experience in PCB troubleshooting and rework.
· Knowledge of electrical safety practices and ESD handling procedures.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
