Job Description

Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Solar Inverter Repair Engineer to handle fault diagnosis, repair, testing, and maintenance of solar inverters (string or central type). The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely restoration of faulty inverters.Key Responsibilities:Troubleshooting & Repair:~Diagnose and repair solar inverters (string/central) at component or board level.~Analyze error codes, system logs, and fault data to identify root causes.~Use electrical testing equipment to inspect, test, and verify proper operation post-repair.Field Support:~Perform on-site service and repairs when needed.~Support OEM teams in remote diagnostics and corrective actions.Testing & Quality Control:~Conduct post-repair testing of inverters to ensure performance and safety.~Maintain quality standards in repairs, ensuring components and parts meet OEM specifications.Documentation & Reporting:~Maintain repair logs, service reports, and inventory of spare parts.Safety & Compliance:~Follow all electrical safety protocols and adhere to company and industry standards.~Ensure ESD-safe handling of sensitive electronic components.Required Skills & Qualifications:~Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or related field.~Minimum 2–5 years of experience in inverter repair or electronics maintenance (solar sector preferred).~Hands-on experience with brands like UTL, Luminous, Sungrow, Microtek, Livguard etc.~Strong understanding of power electronics, circuits, and embedded systems.~Familiarity with solar PV system architecture and grid integration.Preferred Skills:~Experience with SMT soldering, PCB rework, or firmware updates.~Knowledge of remote monitoring systems.~Ability to read electrical schematics and circuit diagrams.~Basic knowledge of solar PV system performance analysis.Working Conditions:~Based in a service center or field (depending on role).~May involve travel to solar plant sites for on-site repairs or inspections.
