Job Title: Raceway Technician / Cable Tray & Conduit Installer

Job Summary

The Raceway Technician is responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining electrical raceway systems, including cable trays, conduits, trunking, and cable supports. The role involves reading electrical drawings, ensuring quality workmanship, and complying with all safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Install cable trays, GI/PVC conduits, trunking, raceways, and cable ducts.
Measure, cut, bend, and assemble conduits and cable tray systems.
Install supports, brackets, clamps, hangers, and raceway accessories.
Pull, route, and secure electrical cables through raceways.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, and installation plans.
Ensure installations comply with project specifications and safety standards.
Perform repairs and modifications to existing raceway systems.
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
Coordinate with supervisors, electricians, and other site personnel.
Follow company safety procedures and use appropriate PPE at all times.

Required Qualifications

ITI in Electrician/Wireman or equivalent (preferred).
Diploma in Electrical Engineering is an added advantage.

Experience

1–5 years of experience in raceway, cable tray, conduit, or electrical installation works.
Experience in commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects is preferred.

Required Skills

Knowledge of cable tray and conduit installation.
Ability to read electrical drawings and layouts.
Familiarity with hand and power tools.
Knowledge of electrical installation standards and safety practices.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work at heights and in various site conditions.

Working Conditions

Indoor and outdoor project sites.
Willingness to travel to project locations if required.
Ability to work extended hours or shifts based on project requirements.

Salary

₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per month (based on experience and skills).
