Job Title: Quantity Surveyor – Civil (Diploma)

Location: Thirunagar, Madurai.
Department: Civil / Projects
Experience: Fresher (0–1 year)
Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering

Job Purpose:

To assist the project team in preparing estimates, cost control, quantity take-off, and supporting site engineers in billing and measurement activities for civil works.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing quantity take-offs from drawings and site measurements.

• Support in preparing cost estimates, BOQ (Bill of Quantities), and tender documents.

• Coordinate with site engineers to track daily material and labor consumption.

• Assist in verifying contractors’ bills and measurements as per site execution.

• Help in monitoring project costs, material usage, and wastage control.

• Maintain proper documentation of drawings, measurement sheets, and reports.

• Provide support in rate analysis and comparative statements.

• Assist in preparing progress reports and communicating with the project team.

• Ensure work is carried out as per company policies, safety, and quality standards.

Skills Required:

• Basic knowledge of construction materials and civil drawings.

• Familiarity with MS Excel / MS Word / AutoCAD (advantageous).

• Ability to read drawings and take measurements.

• Good analytical and mathematical skills.

• Willingness to learn and adapt in a site/project environment.
