About goSTOPS
goSTOPS is one of India's fastest-growing hostel brands for young travellers, with properties across Goa, Rishikesh, Jaipur, Bengaluru, Manali and more. When a geyser stops working or the Wi-Fi goes down, guests notice right away. You'll be the person who keeps everything running.
What you'll do
Electrical: fix lights, fans, switches, sockets, wiring faults and MCB trips.
Plumbing: fix leaking taps, blocked drains, flush tanks and geysers, and check water pumps and tanks.
AC and appliances: do basic servicing of ACs, fridges and coffee machines. Clean filters and report bigger faults.
DG, inverter and water systems: run daily checks, keep the log book and monitor diesel and water levels.
Preventive maintenance: follow the daily and weekly checklist for rooms, bathrooms, common areas and the kitchen.
Guest complaints: close repair tickets quickly, ideally within the same shift.
Vendors: coordinate with vendors for bigger repairs and AMC visits.
Stock: keep track of spares and tools, and report what needs to be bought.
Who we're looking for
ITI or diploma in Electrical, Plumbing or a related trade. Experience counts as much as certificates.
1–4 years as an electrician, plumber or MST in a hotel, hostel, PG, co-living, hospital or building or in any other setup with the similar skills
Able to handle at least two trades yourself: electrical and plumbing are a must.
Comfortable working in shifts and being on call for emergencies.
Honest, careful and polite around guests.
Basic Hindi or the local language. Reading simple English checklists is a plus.
