JOB DESCRIPTION – MST
Position: MST (Maintenance/Service Team Supervisor)
Department: Operations / Facility Management
Location: Site-Based
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reporting To: Facility Manager / Assistant Facility Manager / Operations Manager
1. Job Purpose
The MST will be responsible for supervising day-to-day site operations, managing manpower, ensuring proper deployment and discipline of employees, maintaining service quality, and coordinating with the Facility Manager and client representatives to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Manpower & Shift Management
Supervise and manage all employees deployed at the assigned site.
Ensure proper manpower deployment as per approved duty roster.
Monitor attendance, absenteeism, late coming and shift changes.
Arrange replacement manpower in case of absenteeism or emergency.
Prepare and maintain daily/shift-wise manpower deployment records.
Ensure employees report for duty in proper uniform and with required ID cards.
B. Site Operations
Monitor daily site activities and ensure work is carried out as per SOPs.
Conduct regular rounds and inspections of the assigned area.
Ensure proper housekeeping, maintenance/support services and workplace discipline.
Check the quality of work performed by the team.
Ensure proper use and availability of machines, tools, equipment and consumables.
Report any shortage, breakdown, damage or operational issue immediately.
C. Team Supervision
Allocate duties and responsibilities to team members.
Conduct daily toolbox/shift briefings wherever applicable.
Guide and train employees on work procedures, SOPs and safety practices.
Maintain discipline and professional behaviour among employees.
Address routine employee grievances and escalate unresolved matters to HR/Management.
Monitor employee performance and provide feedback to management.
D. Client Coordination
Maintain professional communication with the client/site representative.
Attend to day-to-day operational requirements and complaints.
Ensure client complaints are recorded and resolved within the required timeline.
Immediately escalate major complaints, incidents or service failures to the reporting manager.
Support the Facility Manager during client meetings and inspections.
E. Safety & Compliance
Ensure employees follow all applicable safety rules and site instructions.
Report accidents, incidents, unsafe conditions and near misses immediately.
Ensure proper use of PPE wherever required.
Ensure employees follow fire safety, emergency response and other site safety procedures.
Support statutory and client audits by maintaining required site records.
F. Material & Equipment Management
Monitor consumption and availability of consumables and materials.
Maintain proper records of material/equipment issued to employees.
Prevent wastage, misuse, theft or unauthorized removal of company/client property.
Report damaged or missing materials/equipment immediately.
Coordinate with the concerned department for replenishment requirements.
G. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily attendance and deployment records.
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly operational reports as required.
Maintain inspection checklists, complaint registers and other site records.
Submit reports to the Facility Manager/Operations Manager within the prescribed timeline.
Ensure all records are accurate and updated.
3. Required Qualifications
Minimum 10th/12th pass; graduate or relevant technical qualification will be preferred.
Relevant experience in facility management, housekeeping, maintenance, security/support services or site supervision will be preferred.
Basic knowledge of MS Office and reporting/documentation.
Good communication and team-handling skills.
4. Experience
Preferred Experience: 2–5 years in a supervisory role in Facility Management / Housekeeping / Maintenance / Operations.
Candidates with strong manpower-handling and site-supervision experience may also be considered.

7. Working Conditions
Site-based position.
Shift duties may be applicable depending on site requirements.
The employee may be required to work on weekends/holidays as per the duty roster.
Flexibility to handle emergency operational requirements is expected.

MST → Facility Manager / Assistant Facility Manager → Operations Manager
9. Important Note
The above duties are indicative and may be modified, expanded or assigned additionally by Management depending upon the operational requirements of the site/client.
