Mechanical Maintenance Technician – Herbal Extraction Plant

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician responsible for ensuring uninterrupted operation of all production machinery, utilities, and mechanical systems within our herbal extraction manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

Plant Maintenance

• Carry out preventive maintenance of all plant equipment.

• Attend emergency breakdowns immediately.

• Diagnose root causes of mechanical failures.

• Replace worn-out components before failure.

• Maintain pumps, gearboxes, motors, couplings and bearings.

• Service valves, pipelines and mechanical seals.

• Repair leakages in process pipelines.

• Maintain conveyors and material handling systems.

• Align motors and pumps.

• Install new equipment whenever required.

Production Support

Support smooth functioning of:

• Herbal Extractors

• Reactors

• Solvent Recovery System

• Distillation Units

• Evaporators

• Condensers

• Centrifuges

• Heat Exchangers

• Boilers

• Cooling Towers

• Air Compressors

• Vacuum Pumps

• Steam Pipelines

• Chillers

• Storage Tanks

• Packaging Machines

Preventive Maintenance

• Follow daily maintenance checklist.

• Lubricate machinery as per schedule.

• Inspect bearings and shafts.

• Monitor abnormal vibration.

• Monitor unusual noises.

• Check gearbox oil levels.

• Maintain preventive maintenance records.

• Report equipment health.

Safety

• Follow Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures.

• Work safely around steam, pressure and solvent systems.

• Wear mandatory PPE.

• Ensure zero unsafe practices.

• Follow GMP and SOP requirements.

Fabrication & Welding

• Carry out minor fabrication jobs.

• Perform gas cutting and welding where required.

• Repair SS pipelines.

• Repair process tanks.

• Fabricate supports and frames.

Documentation

Maintain records of:

• Breakdown reports

• Preventive maintenance logs

• Spare parts consumption

• Daily maintenance activities

• Equipment history cards

Skills Required

• Mechanical fitting

• Pump maintenance

• Bearing replacement

• Shaft alignment

• Gearbox maintenance

• Valve servicing

• Welding

• Gas cutting

• Hydraulic systems

• Pneumatic systems

• Steam systems

• Utility maintenance

Knowledge of SS fabrication, solvent extraction equipment, and GMP manufacturing is an added advantage.
