Maintenance Technician

Position Overview

The Plant Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems within a manufacturing or industrial plant. This role involves performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of plant equipment, including conveyor systems, boilers, HVAC systems, and production machinery, to prevent unexpected breakdowns. Himalayas

• Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues; repair or replace defective components such as motors, valves, pumps, and control systems. Limble CMMS

• Equipment Installation: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory of spare parts.

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.

• Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance staff, engineers, and production personnel to coordinate maintenance activities and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred. HRBLADE

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in plant or industrial maintenance. Himalayas

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals; familiarity with PLC systems and CMMS software is a plus.

• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that require physical stamina.
